Taskbar

The TASKBAR is, by default, located at the bottom of the desktop. It takes the place of the Windows 3.1 and 3.11 Task List. Currently running programs are displayed as icon buttons on the Taskbar. The Taskbar can be resized, or it may be moved to the top, left or right edge of the desktop by clicking it and, with the left mouse button held down, dragging the Taskbar to the desired location. The taskbar can be set to display small or large icons, as well as a clock. The Taskbar can be set to be always on top when other applications are open, or it can be hidden from view until the mouse pointer is placed on the location of the Taskbar.

To customize the taskbar, right-click any vacant portion of the taskbar and click 'Properties' from the pop-up menu that appears. Select the appropriate setting(s) in the 'Taskbar Options' tab of the 'Taskbar Properties' dialog box.
